Who we are

Experience & passion to help you succeed

Our Approach

is to work with, and alongside, every person and business through the steps to successfully achieve their goals.

Our Philosophy

“What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us, what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal.”

– Albert Pine

The ‘how and why’ people learn is of equal importance to the ‘what and when’ they learn. A one-size-fits-all approach doesn’t work for many people – our approach to learning is developed to meet the needs of participants. It appears that who we are reflects our life experiences and how we choose to view these. Over time, our outcomes shape our habits.

At Work & People we strive to assist people to understand the type of learner they are so they can seek out what opportunities best suit their journey through life.

We grow people & organisations

Lesley likes people. She likes connecting, motivating and guiding them, and inspires others with her ‘why not?’ attitude. Her ability to switch from big picture thinking to the detailed analysis of business operations is incredibly useful when working with small business owners or job seekers. Having worked in a variety of industry sectors in Australia, and a further couple in Kuwait and Nepal, Lesley draws from her wide range of personal life experiences, whether in a mentor, coach or trainer role.

Her broad experience in career development has seen her work with early school leavers, senior managers, prisoners, older retrenches, people with disabilities, professionals and migrants. Her ‘outside the box’ approach broadens people’s view of their work options and, as a result, their possible futures.

Lesley’s personal interests, just like other areas of her life, are eclectic. She has been a Bendigo Bank and S.T.E.P.S Director because of her community and employment interests. Since 2011, she has travelled to Nepal with H.O.G. Heaven Inc. and assisted to ‘Help Others Grow’. Having been a sole parent and late to gain her academic qualifications, Lesley understands ‘life’ intervenes in the best-laid plans. Encouraging people to become life-long learners and goal achievers because they do not quit, provides people with the support they need.
